DOING YOUR BIT // National Recycling Week

DOING YOUR BIT// There are lots of disagreements around climate science, we like to find ‘unity’ points rather than argue about things we are not going to agree on – like…let’s stop single use plastic items and lets do our best to recycle everything we possibly can! Here’s five ways we go the extra mile on recycling…
  1. If you’re not using rechargeables then make sure you collect batteries and drop them to Aldi or Batteryworld who have recycling programs
  2. Collect soft plastics and drop them off to Coles or Woolworths in the bins provided at the front of the stores…
  3. Old mobile phones go to Mobile Muster website and find a location near you! So much can be received from mobiles and reused…
  4. Pony Up for Good will re-use or recycle old laptops – this is a BIG one – we create 50 MILLION tonnes of e-waste globally every year: ponyupforgood.com
  5. Recycle your trainers via Save our Soles and the Australian Sporting Goods Association – Rebel and many other participating stores will take your old trainers and turn them into floor matting! Visit asgasosinitiative.com.au for your nearest drop off point!
