International make up brand Nars recently took on the task to create an app in the hope of raising their Facebook profile- the challenge…? To achieve social media results without paying for advertising or giving away product.
To complement their limited-edition product line inspired by iconic visual artist Andy Warhol, Nars developed an app that allowed Facebook users to make over their cover profile photo in Warhol’s pop art style.
According to Mashable, the app attracted a relatively small number of users (3,143) but an impressive amount of engagement with an estimated 823,000 impressions on Facebook. Nars has proven that it really is possible to achieve positive results for nothing…it’s just the idea that counts!
