Everything. Especially if it’s Yves Saint Laurent. The famous fashion house’s Creative Director Hedi Slimane decided to modernise things by dropping ‘Yves’ from the eponymous brand.
A grand faux pas by Monsieur Slimane – the loss of the famous interlocking YSL, designed in 1963 was lamented in the ‘Twittersphere’ being described as ‘ridiculously stupid’, ‘disrespectful to Yves,’ ‘boring’ and ‘confusing’ amongst other things. We can’t help but agree.
A word of advice Monsieur Slimane – If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
