Stop, drop and roll…

Chances are that sooner or later your brand may be faced with the unpleasant task of dealing with flame throwing, extraneous and defamatory comments from a social media ‘troll’.

While it may be tempting to fuel fire with fire, it is recommended not to feed a troll. Avoid the firestorm and try to dilute the situation as any professional would:

– Stay positive in your tone
– Handle the issue with tact and respect
–  Maintain professionalism at all times
– Have a plan in place should the issue not resolve itself quickly

According to the PRIA, if you handle a troll assault quickly and graciously you will be able to walk away with your brand, your business and most importantly your reputation intact!
