This week saw, Steve Jobs, the iconic founder and CEO of the Apple Corporation resign as chief executive officer.

Now the pioneering technology company is faced with the ultimate challenge, replacing Jobs and the abilty to reinvent themselves in the wake of this dramatic news.

Every program and paper around the world is talking about this sudden news with the twitter sphere, and bloggers all expressing their feelings of sadness, in what feels like a rulers reign has come to an end.

The reason for his sudden departure? “…when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come,” said Jobs.

What does this mean? Well many are suggesting that the ever so private man’s health is obviously at a point of concern…

As for Apple, Jobs has “strongly recommend(ed)” that his immediate successor be “Tim Cook as CEO of Apple”.  As Apple advocates we want to thank Jobs for his contribution and we wish Tim all of the luck in the world, as Job’s successor has some very large shoes to fill.
