Today is PARK[ing] Day – an international event that is being put on by Architecture for Humanity which encourages people and businesses to transform metered parking spaces into parks for a day.
If you want to find out more and enjoy a city park sans cars visit the corner of Little Lonsdale Street and Hardware Street between 11am – 3pm, where AFH will be rolling out the astro turf and seats among impromptu pot plants made from old coffee cups. BYO champagne, cucumber sandwiches and frisbee.
