The Australian today included an article from The Sunday Times around new software being developed by IBM which claims to be able to predict personality by analysing Twitter postings to assist employees when searching for potential employees.

Analysis by IBM research found that people who care for the welfare of others frequently used the word ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘friends’, ‘family’, ‘health’ and ‘home’. Those we did not were more likely to use the words ‘word’, ‘school’, ‘job’, ‘music’ and ‘beer’. Perfectionists could be identified by their use of the words ‘perfect’ and curiously ‘chauffeur’.
