This week, Mkt client Knox Shopping Centre launched the largest recycling program of its kind in an Australian shopping centre. The new recycling system is expected to divert more than 100 tonnes of recyclables from landfill each year- the equivalent of almost 13,890 household wheelie bins full of waste!

Melissa Downes, Centre Manager, Knox Shopping Centre delivered a welcoming speech at the green themed morning tea (yes, green cupcakes and all!) and was joined by Cr Adam Gill Mayor of Knox City Council and Federal Member for Aston MP Alan Tudge, along with other key stakeholders, the local papers and excited centre staff.

After some macaroons (green of course!) and light refreshments, visitors were given an informative tour of the waste area where local paper photographers snapped away securing some exciting pictorial opportunities!
